Sheffield Magistrates' Court heard on January 31 how Nadine Kelbie, aged 23, of High Hazels Close, Handsworth, kicked the officer after she had been arrested when police were investigating an alleged disorder matter at Greenland Court, Greenland.

Robert Coyne, prosecuting, told a previous hearing police turned-up following an allegation of disorder and after arresting Kelbie she lashed-out.

No further action was taken on the disorder allegation, according to Mr Coyne.

Kelbie pleaded guilty to assault by beating after the attack on December 2.

Janice Young, defending, said Kelbie is remorseful and had been drinking heavily.

She added Kelbie is suffering with mental health issues.

Magistrates originally adjourned the case until January 31 but it has been further adjourned until March 17.
