A POLICE crackdown on underage drinking led to officers seizing 30 bottles of alcohol from youngsters.

Police teams swooped in Pilsley, North Wingfield and Wingerworth during patrols of the north Derbyshire villages.

They took 19 bottles of lager from a 16-year-old boy they stopped near the church yard in Pilsley.

Officers also seized a bottle of vodka from a 16-year-old in Wingerworth and 10 bottles of lager dumped by youngsters in North Wingfield who ran off when they saw officers.
