BMW driver leaves motorcyclist with broken leg after fleeing crash on Sheffield Parkway junction

A BMW driver who left the scene of a collision on a Sheffield roundabout is wanted by the police.

The motorist, who was behind the wheel of a white BMW X5, was involved in a collision with a motorbike on the roundabout at the junction of Handsworth Road and the Sheffield Parkway at 11pm on Saturday.

The motorbike was travelling the wrong way round the roundabout at the time of the crash.

The 38-year-old biker was taken to hospital with a broken leg.

South Yorkshire Police said the BMW driver ‘is said to have immediately left the scene’.

The force added: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or witnessed the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision to get in touch.”

Call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 994 of January 25.
