TWO motorbikes have been seized by police in a crackdown on illegal and irresponsible riders.
Officers were called to Inkersall near Chesterfield last Thursday and seized a bike from an 18-year-old who had been riding it on pavements and weaving in and out of cars.
The day before a 16-year-old boy had a bike taken from him after he was spotted riding on a footpath in the Creswell Road area of Clowne.
The same night a 15-year-old boy was warned about his behaviour after he was caught riding an off-road pitbike in the same area.
PC Jason Graham, of Clowne Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Bikes cause a disturbance to residents especially where they’re being ridden illegally or in an inconsiderate manner.”
