Betting shops set up network

Have your say

BETTINg shops in Sheffield city centre are setting up a ‘communication network’ for staff to pass on information about customers whose behaviour has caused problems on their premises.

The aim is to reduce the number of incidents of anti-social behaviour in the shops, including damage to games machines.

Police officers have also been visiting the shops to offer advice to staff about reporting damage to their machines and what to do in terms of reporting incidents and gathering evidence to help police prosecute offenders.

The visits form part of a crackdown on anti-social behaviour.
