Two people were stabbed as violence broke out in one of Sheffield’s trendiest neighbourhoods.

A 21-year-old man was seriously injured and a second man was also taken to hospital with what police described as minor injuries.

South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to reports of a disturbance at the SteelYard shipping container complex on Bardwell Road, Kelham Island, on Sunday, August 25, at around 9.10pm.

A spokesperson for the force said: “On arrival, two men were found with stab wounds and taken to hospital for treatment. One of the men, a 21-year-old, sustained serious injuries. The second man suffered minor injuries.

“A police cordon was established following the incident, but this has since been released.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

Police said this afternoon, Wednesday, August 28, that no one had yet been arrested in connection with the incident.
