Attempted murder arrest as man fights for life in SECOND stabbing on Sheffield street in less than a week

Police were called to Lyons Road, off Lyons Street, Pitsmoor just after midnight today (Friday, July 10) following reports of a ‘disturbance’ in the street.
A short time later at 12.27am, officers received a call reporting a 54-year-old man had presented at Northern General Hospital with stab wounds.

Hide AdHe remains in hospital in a ‘critical, but stable’ condition.
Police have arrested a 32 year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident.
It’s the second stabbing in the area in less than a week.
A 21-year-old man remains in a stable condition after a knife attack on Lyons Street at around 5pm on Saturday (July 4).
Detectives said they were treating the incident as a ‘targeted attack’.
