AN ALLOTMENT shed found burning on Bolehill Road, Crookes, Sheffield, had been set alight in an arson attack.

Flames from the blaze spread to a pile of wood nearby. Firefighters dealt with the incident.

Firefighters saved a chicken coop from going up in flames when they were called to a burning shed fire on an allotment in Barnsley.

They extinguished the shed fire before flames spread to the coop next door. The shed was so badly damaged that crews were unable to establish what caused the blaze.

And a house which had been turned into three bedsits in Barnsley was badly damaged when fire broke out accidentally in one of the bedrooms while all the occupants were out. Fire engulfed the first floor of the town centre property on Eldon Street North.
