Arson blamed for car and wheelie bin blazes in Sheffield

A car found burning on a Sheffield street had been set alight in an arson attack.

The car was badly damaged but is believed to have been a Vauxhall Corsa.

It was found on fire on Fox Hill Crescent, Birley Carr, at 12.15am today.

Firefighters extinguished the flames.

Last night before crews were called out to deal with two wheelie bins set alight on Wulfric Road, Manor, Sheffield and another torched on Washington Road, Sharrow, Sheffield.

Police were informed of the incidents.
