The three suspects were arrested by the Manor neighbourhood policing team in an operation to tackle ‘key issues raised by residents’ yesterday.

Temporary Sergeant Tom Hollands said: “Whilst we are clearly carrying out work like this on a daily basis, these highly focused days of action mean we can tackle key issues with added impact.

“The off-road bike team helped us seize three bikes that we suspect have been stolen, and they also patrolled key routes for us.

“We were also joined by the DVLA, who clamped 12 vehicles for having no valid tax and parking services who issued eight tickets to cars parked on double yellow lines.

“We also had some fantastic volunteers who took part in litter picking and cleared rubbish around the Angleton Estate, which was much appreciated by our team.”
