Appeal for witnesses following assault outside Rotherham pub

South Yorkshire Police are looking for a suspect and witnesses to assist in an investigation into a serious assault outside a pub in Rotherham last Sunday, which left a man seriously injured.

The 27-year-old man was reportedly assaulted by two men outside the Masons Arms pub on Bawtry Road, Wickersley in the 10.52pm incident where he suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Following the incident, a 19-year-old man was arrested and has now been bailed pending further enquiries.

However, the police are looking for the second man who they believe holds further information. 

The man is believed to have been wearing a grey tracksuit with a hoody up, covering his face.
