TRADERS in Chesterfield have been warned not to sell alcohol to underage customers after a store had its licence suspended.

Mastin Moor Post Office has had its licence to sell alcohol suspended for a month after an underage volunteer was sold alcohol twice during a joint operation mounted by Derbyshire County Council and police.

Extra conditions have also been imposed on the Renishaw Road outlet after the licence review hearing at Chesterfield Council.

The store is the second in Chesterfield to receive a licence suspension for underage sales in the last fortnight.

Hollingwood Stores, Hollingwood, was imposed with similar sanctions on December 5.

Traders have the right to appeal against their suspended licences.
