Adam Cox - a clarification

Have your say

MOTORIST Adam Cox, who could be moved to an open prison 10 months into a five- year jail term for killing another driver, had not just passed his driving test 10 days before the crash, as reported in The Star yesterday.

Cox, aged 24, of Oldfield Road, Stannington, was racing Simon Chevens, 43, of Wood Close, Chapeltown, when 56-year-old June Bryce-Stephen’s car was hit on Halifax Road, Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield, in March 2010.

It was Chevens who had just passed his test.

A decision on whether Cox should be moved to an open prison is pending.
