This was the scene on a busy Sheffield road this morning – with police appearing to be carrying out an operation and stopping cars.

The pictures show officers on Abbey Lane, near Beauchief, in the last few minutes. Several police cars have been seen along the street with officers in high vis clothing stopping cars at the side of the road.
One eyewitness told The Star: “There are loads of police cars on Abbey Lane.”
South Yorkshire Police have been approached for details.
