Below are some of the more serious cases to have passed through Sheffield Crown Court recently including a robbery, an affray and a man who used an imitation firearm to threaten students.
Offenders have been involved in a street brawl, a drunken assault on a woman, a robbery of a woman at a cash machine and a robbery where an elderly man was assaulted.
One drug-fuelled driver was also involved in a police pursuit and damaged parked cars before he was captured.
But judges have punished these offenders appropriately with custodial sentences of different lengths.

5. Joshua Jones
Pictured is Joshua Jones, aged 26, of Low Road, Conisbrough, Doncaster, who was jailed for ten-months after he admitted dangerous driving, driving over the limit for cannabis, driving without insurance and a licence, failing to stop after an accident and possessing cocaine. 6. Lee Whitehouse
