17-year-old cyclist injured in suspected hit-and-run - appeal

A suspected hit-and-run which left a 17-year-old with injuries has prompted a police appeal.

The teenager was cycling along Crookes Valley Road onto Winter Street on Friday, March 6,.

At about 8.30am he was involved in a collision with a vehicle turning onto Mushroom Lane.

It is reported that he vehicle left the scene, and the cyclist was left with facial injuries and bruising.

The car was a silver Ford - either a Focus or Mondeo, according to South Yorkshire Police.

The force is appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting incident 191 of March 2015.
