With seven games remaining Town sit one place above the drop zone, just four points better off than Treeton.

They looked on course for victory at Bawtry Road on Saturday after restricting the hosts to 144 all out.

Skipper Danial Rafiq scored 32 and stumper Rudraksh Mangrola made 34 for United.

Doncaster captain Luke Townsend bowled well, claiming 5-39. Will Street and Alex Gosney also picked up two wickets apiece.

Town opener Charlie Kaye got his team off to a steady start by reaching 50 but he lacked support as the rest of the top order fell cheaply.

Gosney (19) and Matthew Head (21) later raised hopes of victory but the final two wickets fell with Doncaster still requiring six runs.

Yaqoob Yousuf (3-32), Andrew Judge (3-44) and James Exley (3-24) impressed with the ball for the hosts.
