Crews called to basement fire in Page Hall Road, Sheffield
Firefighters were called to Sheffield house after a fire started in the basement.
The fire started at a home in Page Hall Road at about 2.30pm today (Monday, April 11). A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said it was initially thought people were trapped inside, so six firefighters went in the house with breathing apparatus.
“Luckily, it turned out everyone was outside,” the spokesman said.
The flames were put out by about 4pm. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
