Crash on Sheffield Parkway prompts fire crew response

Fire crews were called to a collision on Sheffield Parkway this morning after a car left the road.

The incident involved one vehicle which ended up on the side of the road after it had been travelling at speed.

The vehicle was travelling along the outbound carriageway at about 5.10am when the incident happened.

It was the only car involved in the incident and the driver is not thought to be seriously injured.

Crews from Darnall fire station attended the incident.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service warned motorists to always travel within the speed limits.
