Sheffield man who raped child - grooming her on Snapchat - branded an offender of “particular concern”
A judge said “it’s clear from the evidence you groomed that child”
A Sheffield man who raped a child after grooming them on Snapchat has been branded an offender of “particular concern” by a judge.
Daniel Ashmore, aged 33, was jailed for 10 years without eligibility for automatic release.
The sexual predator will only be released when the parole board deems it “appropriate”.

Sentencing Hall at Sheffield Crown Court today (Thursday, October 15), Judge Jeremey Richardson KC told him: “It’s clear from the evidence you groomed that child - it’s clear from the Snapchat engagement.”
Ashmore, formerly of Norwood Avenue, admitted raping a child under the age of 13.
