Man, 22, appears at Sheffield court charged with stun gun offence
Stun guns are prohibited weapons
A 22-year-old man has appeared in court charged with possession of a stun gun.
Aiden Anderson, of West Pinfold, Royston, Barnsley, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday, September 4, 2026, accused of possessing stun gun in Sheffield.

Anderson pleaded guilty to the charge during Friday’s hearing.
Government guidance states stun guns are prohibited weapons and “anyone wishing to possess, purchase, acquire, manufacture, sell or transfer these and similar weapons, which give off an electrical discharge, must apply for the Secretary of State’s authority.”
The case was adjourned to November 2026, when Anderson is also due to be sentenced for the stun gun matter, along with a number of other offences which were admitted at an earlier hearing.
They include making indecent images of children, also in June 2023.
Anderson was released on unconditional bail until his sentencing hearing.
