These are the faces of criminals locked up by Sheffield judges so far this month - they include killers, gunmen, burglars child abusers and antisocial menaces.
In one case a man deliberately ran over and killed a 45-year-old handyman after taking offence at his offering to mow his mother's lawn for £7.50.
Another defendant sexually abused a 15-year-old over several days in Sheffield hotel rooms, having first contacted his victim on Snapchat in 2021 when she was 14 and groomed her thereafter.
And a pair of thugs were locked up for killing a Good Samaritan who stepped in to help a 17-year-old girl who was being assaulted in Arundel Gate, Sheffield, in 2022.

5. Ahmed MUJEL
Well-known Sheffield thief and “menace to retail premises” Mujel, 30, threatened a woman with a flick knife as she walked along a city centre street with her young son. Mujel, who sacked his own defence council minutes before appearing at court, was said to have pulled the knife on the “terrified” woman on Waingate near Sheffield Castle at 9am on June 25. A judge told him: "you are not only a thief but you are aggressive and violent." He was jailed for 30 months. | SYP

6. Kyle Fell
Drug-addled Rotherham thief Fell, 35, punched multiple female shopworkers in the face while snatching from shops - making off with random goodies including Oreos and “toy eggs”. Kyle Fell, who was noted to be “unwell” and curiously shouted “murderer” while being sentenced, targeted three stores in the town within in one hour on the morning of May 9 this year. He was jailed for two years. | SYP
