"He probably thought he had got away with it" - man jailed for helping to cover up 2006 Sheffield murder
"He probably thought he had got away with it"
A man who helped cover up a murder 20 years ago has been jailed.
Faiser Hussain, aged 44, was sentenced to four years behind bars after he admitted perverting the course of justice over the shooting of a 20-year-old man in Sheffield in 2006.
Ibrahim Ilyas was fatally shot as he sat in a car on Abbeyfield Road in Pitsmoor on Saturday, June 3, 2006.

Mohammed Ali, who was 24 at the time and from Fir Vale, was convicted of Ibrahim's murder in 2006 and jailed for life with a minimum term of 30 years.
But earlier this year - two decades after the shooting - Faiser Hussain was arrested at Manchester Airport after re-entering the UK, and was charged with murder and committing an act or series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice.
Over the last two weeks, he stood trial for murder but after admitting perverting the course of justice, the judge directed jurors to return a not guilty verdict for the killing.
Hussain accepted involvement in the disposal of the vehicle used in the drive-by shooting, which was found abandoned and burnt out on Psalters Lane in Rotherham following the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Thomas Woodward, who was the senior investigating officer in this case, said: "Ibrahim had his life cut short in the most devastating of circumstances, leaving his loved ones living every day with a grief they did not deserve.
“Ibrahim's family have shown immense courage having to re-live the painful and traumatic events surrounding his death.
"Hussain played an integral part in the planned attempt to conceal potentially vital evidence of a shocking and ruthless crime and after 20 years he probably thought he had got away with it.
“I hope this serves as a reminder to anyone who believes they can evade justice that eventually your criminal behaviour will catch up with you."
