Exclusive:Accused gunman said he didn't tell woman he fled to Scotland with about shooting when questioned in court
Two people are standing trial after the shooting last November
A man accused of shooting a teenager on the streets of Sheffield before fleeing to Scotland has said during a trial that he never told the woman he travelled with about the crime.
Tanzir Ali, aged 26, and Sharna Osborne, 24, were both arrested in Aberdeen last November - six days after the shooting of a 16-year-old boy near London Road.

Ali, of Glencoe Road, Norfolk Park, has been charged with attempted murder while Osborne, of Duthie Terrace, Aberdeen, is charged with assisting an offender.
Both deny the offences.
In the latest development at court, Ali told jurors that he didn’t tell Osborne he was implicated in the attack when the two headed to Scotland.
Stood in the witness box on Tuesday (August 25), Ali admitted to having carried a gun on the day of the attack - November 24, 2025 - but claims that he had been keeping it for someone else.
CCTV evidence showed that earlier in the day he had met with Osborne, with the two separating as Ali claims he was preparing to return the gun to its owner.
However, on his way to a meeting point at Mount Pleasant Park, an altercation occurred, with Ali saying he “remembered pulling the gun out” to scare someone.
He claims he didn’t mean for the gun to go off.
“The last thing I saw was him falling on the floor,” Ali added.
“I just ran - I was in shock, I wasn’t thinking clearly.”
Jurors were told that that after this Ali met with Osborne and the two headed to Aberdeen overnight.
Ali said the two had known each other for a “couple of years” and weren’t dating but were “more than friends.”
Jurors had previously been told that Osborne was already planning to travel to Aberdeen, however was not expecting to leave until later in the week.
When questioned by Osborne’s defence barrister, Nick Cartmell, Ali said that he didn’t reveal anything about the shooting or that he had brought the gun with him, adding that he was “scared.”
“Did you tell her anything about why you were scared and frightened?” Mr Cartmell asked.
“I said some people were trying to kill me.”
Mr Cartmell went on to say that at one point while the pair were in Scotland, Osborne had read a news story about the shooting and mentioned it to him, however Ali said he “can’t remember every single detail” of their time together when asked how he responded.

“Did you at any point suggest to her that you were on the run not from someone who wanted to kill you, but in fact the police?”
“No.”
During cross-examination, prosecuting barrister Katherine Goddard KC told jurors that when he was arrested, Ali was found to be in possession of £30,000 worth of drugs and thousands of pounds in cash.
She said that the two paid for everything with cash while in Aberdeen, and following a question from Ms Goddard, Ali told the court that Osborne never asked where the cash had come from.
Ali said that he was “scared” during the five days the two were in Scotland, adding: “I wasn’t my normal self.”
Ms Goddard questioned whether Osborne had ever asked Ali about what had happened, to which he replied: “She did ask, but I wasn’t speaking.
“I didn’t want anyone to know anything.”
The trial continues.
