The following were convicted at Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster and Chesterfield magistrates’ courts between May 3 and May 4.

Greg Goodwin: aged 30, of Southey Hall Drive, Southey, breach of domestic violence protection order, £50 fine.

Andrew Topley: aged 35, of Thirlwell Road, Heeley, assault, 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months, must complete a Building Better Relationships Programme, residence requirement, £50 compensation, £45 costs.

Luke Benjamin Middlebrook: aged 29, of Carr Fold, Carr Road, Deepcar, carried a police style black baton in a public place without lawful authority, community order, unpaid work requirement, £170 costs.

Gordon Wilkes: aged 61, of Spa Well Crescent, Treeton, Rotherham, drunk and disorderly, £50 fine, £115 costs.

Lee Joseph Archer: aged 43, of Bellscroft Avenue, Thrybergh, Rotherham, posession of a class B drug, £40 fine, £70 costs, order for the destruction of the drug.

Gary Brown: aged 39, of Goodwin Crescent, Swinton, Doncaster, drink driving, £130 fine, £115 costs, disqualified from obtaining a driving licence for 16 months.

Richard Michael Ferrie: aged 42, of Martin Street, Walkley, theft, committed a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge, community order, drug rehabilitation requirement, rehabilitation activity requirement, £60 compensation, £85 costs.

Ali Iqbal: aged 21, of Bawtry Road, Brinsworth, Rotherham, sent electronic messages for the purpose of causing anxiety and distress to a person, community order, unpaid work requirement, restraining order imposed, £170 costs.

James Kenneth Curtis: aged 40, of Ridgehill Avenue, Intake, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, failed to provide a sample of urine, community order, curfew requirement with electronic monitoring, rehabilitation activity requirement, £285 costs, disqualified from obtaining a driving licence for 36 months.
