Court date for crash suspect

A MAN is due at court next week charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving after a motorcyclist and a cyclist died in a collision on the A621 Dronfield to Baslow road.

Peter Day, aged 53, of Thorpe House Rise, Norton Lees, Sheffield, is accused of causing a crash which killed father-of-two Kim Broomhead, aged 51, of Cliff Street, Sharrow, Sheffield and 28-year-old cyclist Matthew Hook, who lived in Sheffield city centre.

They were travelling in opposite directions at the time of the crash.

Day is due at Derby Crown Court on Monday, April 2.
