Council's contribution to Florence collection

Letters from Derbyshire County Council's Record Office have been digitized as part of an international collection about the life of Florence Nightingale.

The project, being run by Boston University, features 2200 letters, from a number of sources, that were either handwritten or narrated by Florence. Derbyshire Council’s contribution to the project is a collection of letters from Florence to the surgeon Christopher Dunn. The online database can now be accessed from anywhere in the world.
