Could you give Jasper the home he deserves?

Meet handsome Jasper!

The name Jasper means treasurer, and that’s exactly how the staff at Sheffield RSPCA describe this lovely black cat - as an absolute treasure.

The domestic shorthair was a long-term stray before he came to the animal centre in January and was feeling very sorry for himself when staff first took him in.

RSPCA Sheffield spokesman Adam Spencer said: “When we first met Jasper, he was limping and generally under the weather. The poor boy had nobody to take care of him and had an old injury, which has since healed but will need monitoring for the rest of his life.

“Jasper was extremely shy and untrusting of us humans at first, not that we could blame him, but we are hoping that his fortunes will soonbe turned around and our handsome Jasper will find the home of his dreams.

“Jasper has made so much progress in recent weeks and really is a completely different cat. He loves a fuss and is very affectionate with people that he knows. He has gained so much confidence and likes to greet people, even those he doesn`t recognise! We are really pleased with how Jasper has come on and can`t wait to see him find his forever home.”

Four-year-old Jasper hasn`t had an easy life so far and really does deserve to find someone who will love him unconditionally. Could Jasper be the guy for you?

It is not known how comfortable Jasper is around other animals and children, so a home with either of these is a possibility.
