Problem parking has prompted police in Killamarsh to remind motorists about the importance of abiding by road marking.
Officers from the Killamarsh Safer Neighbourhood Team will be carrying out patrols in the area and speaking to motorists who are found to be causing a nuisance.
The issue has been raised by residents following vehicles parking and obstructing pedestrian crossings around the Bridge Street area.
Sergeant Aidan Stones said: “I would like to remind drivers about the importance of safe and considerate parking.
“Enforcement action will be taken against motorists who park and obstruct pedestrian crossings.
“The road markings are there for a reason and motorists are not only putting pedestrians at risk, who use the crossing, but they could also face a £100 fine and three points on their licence.”
