Contractors in place for town centre regeneration

Have your say

Two contractors have been appointed to undertake a £4.5m town redevelopment scheme in Barnsley.

Wath Construction, of Rotherham, and Britcon, of Scunthorpe, will handle the regeneration project in Hoyland town centre, which includes the demolition and clearance of a former medical centre and a church hall, and the construction of a new 74 space car park. Another former car park will become the new Hoyland market site with 30 stalls, three kiosks, a disabled toilet, and 26-space car park.
