Former UKIP MEP Amjad Bashir accuses UKIP of a “ridiculous” lack of policies. Please inform me, Mr Bashir, as a UKIP MEP which of these you were unaware of:
Leave the EU and save £8 billion a year in net contribution.
Cut foreign aid by £9bn, prioritising disaster relief.
Scrap green subsidies and the vanity project HS2.
Remove tuition fees for students taking approved degrees in science, medicine, technology, engineering and maths if they live ,work and pay UK tax for five years.
Allow schools to convert to grammar schools.
Non intervention in foreign wars other than under UN mandate.
NHS to be free at point of delivery and time of need for all UK residents.
Visitors to have NHS approved health insurance as a condition of entry to the UK.
Migrants only allowed access to NHS and benefits after paying tax and NI for five years.
Reinstate the primary purpose rule for bringing foreign spouses and children to the UK.
Migrants allowed into the UK through a points-based system must have a job to go to, speak English and have accommodation agreed before arrival.
Repeal the Climate Change Act 2008 which costs us £18 billion a year.
Leave the Common Agricultural policy and institute a British Single Farm payment.
Leave the Common Fisheries Policy and reinstate British territorial waters for our own use.
Scrap the bedroom tax.
Foreign vehicles to pay a Brit-disc tax to help the upkeep of our roads.
Withdraw from the European Court of Human Rights and replace with a British Bill of Rights putting the victim before the criminal.
I find it incredulous that as an MEP for UKIP you were not aware of them. Frankly, the Conservatives are welcome to you.
