Conman steals large amount of cash from Sheffield pensioner

A bogus council worker stole a large amount of cash from a Sheffield pensioner.

The conman called at a house in Daisy Walk, Beighton, at 2.30pm yesterday and claimed to be from Sheffield City Council.

He was allowed access to the house after showing some form of ID and once inside stole cash and his victim's handbag.

The crook was white, around 50 years old, 5ft 7ins tall and slim.
