Concord Under-14 netball girls win South Yorkshire Championship

Sheffield Concord Netball Club Under-14 are South Yorkshire champions.

They won the county tournament at Sheffield’s English Institute of Sport with a clean sweep of comfortable wins, scoring 98 points and conceding only five.

They beat Dronfield NC 32-0, Sheffield Stormers 23-3 and Barnsley Aces 43-2.

Club spokesperson Lizzie Hughes said of the squad, a mix of year 7, 8 and 9 girls: “The girls train regularly at the club and it shows. They worked well as a squad throughout and were a pleasure to watch as many parents commented on the high skill level they showed.”

Now the team go on to represent South Yorkshire in the Yorkshire regional finals in January.
