Concern over playground

Have your say

town councillors in Tickhill have expressed their concern at the poor state of a children’s playground.

They have raised the problem with Doncaster Council’s Neighbourhood Management Team because they consider that the equipment on the St Mary’s Road play area is not suitable for younger children to use on their way home from the neighbouring St Mary’s Primary School.

The amount of litter being dropped around the town, particularly in the Mill Dam area, is also troubling councillors.

South Yorkshire Police have been notified about the speed of traffic using Alderson Drive that links Sunderland Street with Doncaster Road and councillors have suggested that police carry out regular speed checks.
