Concern over HS2 proposal
I'd like to express my concern that a proposal has been made for the HS2 station to be situated at Meadowhall.
This could be a huge error as the economic potential for a centrally-based station far outweighs the current proposed site in the East of Sheffield. Sheffield has massive potential with a large population of nearly 500,000 as well as thousands of university students.
Sheffield also boasts an abundance of prime sites for offices and businesses located in and around the city centre.
I ask that plans for the HS2 station be reconsidered for Sheffield and for the station to be located in the city centre so the city can benefit from it.
