POLICE have launched an appeal to trace a pregnant Sheffield woman.

Mona Youssef, aged 23, was reported missing on Wednesday, at about 4pm.

She was later spotted in Tesco, Infirmary Road, Sheffield, at 10.55pm, but has not been seen since.

Police said the 23-year-old is 35-weeks pregnant and is known to frequent the Upperthorpe area of the city.

Mona is described as being of Arabic/Asian appearance, about 5ft and with long, brown hair. She was last seen wearing black leggings and a multi-coloured jacket.

South Yorkshire Police said officers had been in contact with hospitals, but with no sign of Mona and appealed for anyone who has seen her or knows of her whereabouts to call them on 101.
