Con artists offering discounted alcohol to homeowners in Rotherham
Con artists are knocking on the doors of Rotherham homes and offering people discounted alcohol.
Officers from the Rotherham South neighbourhood police team said individuals were operating in the town but then never delivering any goods.
A spokesman said: "If anyone attends your door who you do not know ask for ID and make the relevant checks If goods are being offered that are too good to be true you may be the victim of a fraud.
"If anyone has called at your address offering the same goods call police on 101 as soon as possible."
