I am writing this letter about carers in Sheffield, as we usually hear plenty of complaints and not many compliments about them.
My husband has passed away recently at home. I am so grateful for all the loving care and attention given to him in the weeks previous to him giving up the struggle.
From the district nurses, community intermediate care personnel, not forgetting Sheffield STIT teams, all were outstanding in their attention, for 24 hour care via one group, at the same time, the STIT teams attended for personal hygiene and comfort four times a day.
I never knew that these services existed until I wanted to keep my promise to my beloved husband, to keep him at home with me.
Once again my gratful thanks to all concerned.
