Chapeltown Athletics Club has raised £100 for two local charities at its recent Christmas party and presentation night.
The club, which raises funds for a different charity each year, has raised thousands of pounds in the last 25 years. This year’s money has been split between the League of Friends at Northern General, and the Special Care Baby Unit.
Coach Gareth Canetti-Sharp said: “We’re proud of our teams for raising the money at our recent Christmas event, the work we do for local charities is important to us.
“We’re a non-trialling club, which means anyone who wants to play can join and play, regardless of ability. We're always on the lookout for new team members." Visit chapeltownathletic.co.uk
