Community group boost

A SOUTH Yorkshire tenants' and residents' association which almost folded is to be relaunched and expanded.

The California Tenants’ and Residents’ Association (TARA), in Barnsley, almost had to call it a day due to lack of committee members.

But now thanks to support from the community development team at Berneslai Homes, which runs Barnsley council houses, and councillors Roy Miller and John Parkinson a new committee has been formed.

The group will now be called the California and Windhill TARA. California and Windhill TARA relaunch event will be held tomorrow (Saturday) from 11am to 2pm at their office at 21 Windhill Drive, Staincross.
