THANK you for the music.
Families gathered for a day of musical entertainment at a Sheffield museum.
The Music in the Community Day was held at Weston Park Museum on Western Bank in Broomhill.
Among the highlights were six classical music concerts, an African drumming workshop run by Unbeatable Energy and a wind instrument class led by horn player Naomi Atherton.
The free event was organised by Music in the Round as an introduction to its nine-day festival which starts tomorrow.
Marty Mills, from Music in the Round said: “The event was an opportunity for people to come and experience music outside the concert venue and it’s a bit more hands-on as well.
“It was a chance for children and adults to find out a bit more about music and try out different instruments.”
Music in the Round is the largest promoter of chamber music outside London and holds its annual May festival at the Crucible Studio.
