Residents in one Sheffield neighbourhood have expressed their delight after the community centre got a revamp – and internet.

Following a £13,384 refurbishment by Sheffield Council, High Green Miners’ Welfare Hall has been transformed to encourage more groups to use it.

The refurbishment included installing WiFi, decorating, putting in new windows, resurfacing the car park and providing new signs.

Resident Gina Hutchinson said “It is great to see the improvements.”
