Community celebrates
THE Monk Bretton, Royston and St Helen's Area Forum is holding its third community celebration event at Priory Campus in Barnsley next week.
Area forum officer Jack Peach said the aim of the evening was to give residents the chance to have their say about improving their community, in an informal setting.
The event on Tuesday October 2, kicks off at 5pm with information stands and refreshments.
It is followed by a performance from local singer Kim Johnson, a question and answer session and the presentation of the 2007 Community Contribution awards.
