Comment: How Kell Brook can get his own back on Amir Khan

Kell Brook's camp can get their own back on Amir Khan's camp, even if the Bolton fighter continues to snub invitations to take on the Sheffield power house.

I believe Brook’s promoters should move heaven and earth to agree an outdoor Brook v Danny Garcia contest, at Bramall Lane, in the Summer.

The American put Khan on his backside three times before stopping him in the fourth round in 2012.

Garcia has gone on to beat all before him since and has a healthy W 32 L 0 record and is the reigning WBC champion.

If unbeaten Brook can beat the accomplished 27-year-old it would send a message out that he has triumphed over one of the three men to have put his British nemesis to the sword.

And it would be a fight that would be significant on both sides of the Atlantic and could lead to other big US showdowns.

Meanwhile, retired pound for pound champion Floyd Mayweather is in Sheffield for a Q&A evening on Sunday and it’s a fair bet Brook or some of his fans will be there to try and can convince him to return to the ring.

It’s a long shot, ofcourse.

It would take more than some playful banter to persuade “Money” to come back from retirement.

But the truth is that life goes on for success-hungry Kell Brook, whatever Khan is doing.
