Come into the real world
Like your correspondents, I am saddened to think how the people must be suffering in the flooded areas when something should have been done to prevent this years ago.
I am also angry at the thought of the HS2 train costing millions, destroying the countryside, farmland and everything in its path, just to save a few minutes.
Whoever thought of this grandiose idea has got their priorities in the wrong order, especially now that we have cutbacks in so many areas, the fire service, the police, the NHS etc and now, most importantly, the flood defences.
Come into the real world Mr Cameron and get your priorities in the right order.
