Come for a walkabout

I am writing to highlight the current situation being faced in everyday life on the Longley Farm Estate.

Since September 2015 we have had scaffolding on various blocks on our estate doing a programme of works via Sheffield City Council.

Since the beginning of January, we have had gas works being undertaken on both sides of our road, causeways and grass verges with all mud, disturbance and disruption that this brings.

Then the onset of the new bus timetable, which means we now have three different numbered buses coming on our estate, including double- decker buses.

The binmen have been unable to collect our rubbish because of the volume of works and buses when they all meet up in the road.

It is like living under siege, with all this going on at the same time.

Perhaps someone from the council would like to come and do an estate walkabout and see for themselves, as used to be the custom.
