RESIDENTS in Sheffield can find out about the city’s new health watchdog at an information event today.
Healthwatch Sheffield – a new ‘consumer champion’ for health and social care – replaces the Local Involvement Network from Monday, April 1.
The event will give people to chance to get involved with the organisation by volunteering or giving their views on services they’ve received.
Volunteers do not need specialist medical knowledge, and will be given the chance to take up training in community leadership.
The event is at The Circle, Rockingham Lane, Sheffield city centre, from 4.30pm to 7pm.
Refreshments will be served. Call 0113 3942300 to book a place.
