Column: It's now or never for the Foxes as big boys will recover strongly

Everyone likes a close finish, but I think most football fans hope Leicester City will go on to beat Manchester United and win the Premier League title this weekend.

It would be an amazing achievement and shows what can be done if you’ve got a good team and manager.

Two years ago, Leicester were in the Championship. Their success give other teams hope.

For me, Leicester won’t ever have a better opportunity to win the championship. Chelsea have a new manager coming in for next season so they won’t be as bad next time around. Pep Guardiola will be in charge of Manchester City. Anybody with him as manager will go in as favourites for the title, especially when you look at their squad and the backing they have got.

Liverpool will get stronger under Jürgen Klopp and José Mourinho could potentially become Manchester United’s new boss. Tottenham have a young team who will keep on improving and that’s without even mentioning Arsenal!

Given the troubles the so-called big clubs have had this year, Leicester should be winning the league. This is their big chance.

Leicester might lose a couple of their best players in the summer. PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez and Sheffield’s Jamie Vardy could be snapped up and the club will also have to contend with Champions League football. They will have to cope with extra games and travel.

On top of all that, Leicester may have to handle the pressure of being champions and start again from scratch.

Leicester will be pumped up for their European games, but you can’t get that high for all games. Look at how Chelsea started this year after winning the league. They had the high of winning the league, but it is not as easy to start again. You are at your most vulnerable when you have had success because you feel like a million dollars. Sometimes you need something to shock you back to reality before you get your feet back on the floor.

I’ve heard the whole of Leicester is absolutely buzzing over how the club has done this year so imagine if we got a Sheffield club into the Premier League. It is slightly different here as this is a two-club city, but it would be great if we got a club back into the top-flight. Hopefully Wednesday will go all the way and go up via the play-offs this year.
