Colour Run raises funds

Sheffield Park Academy combined paint and PE to help raise funds for Sport Relief.

50 students from Years 7 to 9 paid £5 to take part in the specially organised colour run, with their peers also paying 50p for the privilege of throwing paint at them. The event was the culmination of a week long programme of activities taking place at the Beaumont Road North based school in support of Sport Relief, including 30 second challenges in press ups, skipping and rowing, as well as basketball and crossbar challenges.

Executive principal Craig Dillon said: “Supporting those less fortunate than ourselves is an important part of life here at Sheffield Park Academy and we were more than happy to lend our support to Sport Relief, as well as helping to raise a few smiles.”
