A CLASH of the colours is the theme for a charity football match taking place at Hillsborough Arena on July 17.
Blues will take on the Reds in aid of Sheffield Children’s Hospital and although the event is running for the third year, it has never taken place at such a big venue.
The idea is that the Reds team will include fans from teams like Sheffield United, Barnsley and Liverpool, while the Blues should attract Wednesday, Chesterfield and Chelsea supporters.
Players from two local sides are already supporting the event, Hillsborough Club FC and Sheffield Forum FC.
The day will also feature a variety of fun events including a family tug of war, a children’s penalty shoot out, a balloon race, raffles, prizes and a spot the ball contest. It is hoped that local players will attend.
